Exploration conducted primarily for possible economic Broken Hill - style stratiform/stratabound Proterozoic base and precious metal mineralisation in the Dingo Dam area, located 60 km south-east of Olary, comprised a review of previous work that had included the SADME reprocessing of Broken Hill South IP data, a preliminary aeromagnetic data interpretation, and the acquisition of 9 line km of ground magnetic traverses to check that interpretation. The poorly outcropping prospective Thackaringa Group strata had been traced some 6 km into the subject licence area from MIM's adjoining Mingary EL. One high priority IP anomaly was identified. In June 1993 the licence area was offered for joint venture, but no agreement with interested parties was able to be concluded before it was decided to surrender tenure.
