Assays of 21 geochemical samples taken from within Donnelly's iron ore deposits on Mineral Claim 4573 indicate that they have a significant anomalous trace metal content, with up to 0.25% Cu occurring in wallrocks consisting of manganiferous quartzite breccia. At the Mount Arden mine on Mineral Claim 4756, copper mineralisation is secondary, and is confined to weathered and strongly leached shales. Spot assay values range from 1% to 53% Cu, indicating that the deposit may extend downwards well beyond its presently known limits. A major EM anomaly newly detected by ground geophysical surveying at Mount Arden is suggestive of the presence of a buried primary zone of massive sulphides between 120 and 1000 feet depth, possibly grading about 1-4% Cu. Further exploration is recommended, however, the probability of delineating economically mineable deposits is considered small.
