AIM: To investigate the thickness and distribution of the sedimentary section; to obtain reconnaissance structural information; and to provide some detail of the subsurface zones with structural potentialities. RESULTS: The presence of a sedimentary section increasing from a minimum of 1525 m at the eastern extremity of the survey, to a possible maximum 3050 m to the west and north, was indicated. West and NW dip components of up to 7 degrees were observed in the eastern portion of the area, while for the remainder of the survey the structural relief in the sedimentary section is relatively gentle. Energy source: Explosives. CDP coverage: 100% reflection (jump correlation) and refraction. Recording mode: Analogue / National 26-AA. 137 km (reflection) and 27 km (refraction) line of 24 channels. SP/VP interval: 402 metres (reflection). Survey dates: 25/5/62 - 27/8/62.
