Describes instrument, techniques, practical difficulties encountered, and correction factors used. Interpretation as follows: (1) Mount Salt - Mount Schank Survey. Little agreement with OMara's surface geology. Dixon's structural features do not show up on gravity map. Sediment cover could thin to south. Hypothetical depths to Knight Group - Jurassic boundary are 2,300 - 5,000'. (2) Summer Hill Survey. Summer Hill Anticline (Dixon) does not appear to extend below Gambier Limestone. Gravity work confirms Nelson Fault (again higher gravity values on downthrown side based on surface geology). (3) Tantanoola Survey. Supports evidence of an E dip and small fault (but this has higher gravity values on downthrown side). Slight support for anticline. Conclusions: Gambier Limestone structures cannot be relied on to continue at depth. Faults dominate structure rather than folds. Evidence favours reverse faulting, possibly with reversal of plunge at depth. Seismic work is recommended.
