1 Second travelling time to basal reflection (approx. 4,000). Loxton electric log shows top of Cretaceous at 1,370. First strong reflection at 1,800 (corresponds to 15,000 f.p.s. refraction observed by BMR). If this is base of Cretaceous, minimum thickness of 430. W. edge of survey (Pata area) is shallow sedimentary section. Anticline from SP 17 to 37 with peak elevation of 300. Mines Department gravity work suggests anticline between Loxton and Pata. 5 traverses across Renmark area suggested possible syncline. Aeromagnetic plans suggest numerous anticlinal and domal features. Field investigations recommended near Peebinga, Marama, SSW of Loxton, Swan Reach and SE of Morgan. Plans (1) to (3) seismic time cross sections SP 1-24, 24-39, 39-55. (4) Loxton Bore columnar sections (from G.S.B. 36) (5) Aeromagnetic contour plan of Riverton - Renmark - Pinnaroo - Strathalbyn area (20 gamma interval) showing areas in which further work is recommended.
