A seismic reflection survey totalling 920 line km was made of the Orientos Station (Qld) and Clifton Hills Station (SA) areas in 1962 to obtain reconnaissance structural information over a wide area. Seismic interpretation showed the most interesting anomaly to be a large NE-trending anticlinal ridge in the southern part. The largest closure mapped on this feature lies at latitude 26 degrees 47 minutes South, longitude 139 deg. 27 min. East. Survey dates: 26/3/62 - 4/12/62. Energy source: explosives. CDP coverage: 100%. Recording mode: 24 channel analogue - UGC 1-38 recorder. SP interval: 3218 metres; group interval: 46 metres.
