Includes ODNL completion report for Mount Salt Structure Holes 1 to 5, which were drilled to depths around 1000 feet in the Mount Salt area near Mount Gambier in order to demonstrate the persistence with depth of Quaternary and Tertiary regional dips likely to mimic the crestal location of a deeper Upper Cretaceous structural closure. The exercise proved successful, with the local subsurface pseudoanticline subsequently forming the target of a much deeper petroleum exploration wildcat, Mount Salt 1 (TD 10, 044 feet).
