Comprises details of the operations, field acquisition, results and interpretation of the seismic and gravity survey. The seismic objectives were to obtain additional information on the structure of the Renmark Trough and to locate a stratigraphic well to intersect pre-Cretaceous section and basement. The gravity survey aimed to determine regional structure west of the seismic survey. Seismic results were good: the data confirmed the presence of a major fault-controlled trough with over 10 000 feet of sediments on the down-thrown side of the Hamley fault; some structural reversal is inferred at intermediate depth. The gravity results showed a basement high dividing the Canegrass Lobe into two troughs.
