Comprises details of the operations, field acquisition, results and interpretation of the 1971 offshore Polda Basin seismic survey. The survey aimed to provide additional structural and stratigraphic information on features which had been mapped in 1970, as well as to record recconnaissance data over the northern and western parts of the permit. A total of 336 miles of 24-fold CDP, 384 miles of single channel sparker control, and 3 refraction profiles (for velocity and depth information), were recorded. Structures mapped by the earlier survey have been better defined, and specific drilling targets are now more evident. The reconnaissance portion of the subject seismic program confirmed the aeromagnetic evidence that basement is generally very shallow. A drillhole is recommended to test a large structural closure and to provide stratigraphic and velocity information.
