AIM: To confirm a number of prospects and leads outlined with the most recent interpretation of the existing seismic data over both permit areas. Due to the presence of shallow intrusives and difficulty in mapping the basement in certain areas, shipborne magnetic data was also recorded as a secondary survey. METHODS: Survey dates: 24/5/92 - 23/7/92. Energy source: Airgun. CDP coverage: 7500%. Recording mode: 300 channel digital - LRS 16A Kiloseis marine streamer recording system. SP interval: 26.66 metres, group interval: 13.33 metres. Of a total 1557.69 line km of semi-detailed and detailed seismic data and 1118.84 line km of magnetic data recorded for the DH92 survey, 34 lines in EPP 25 totalling 871.06 line km, and 47 lines in EPP 26 totalling 686.63 line km, were shot by Party 116 of contractor Western Geophysical Company using the M/V Western Atlas, and processed in Singapore by that company. Seismic interpretation was performed by operator BHP Petroleum. RESULTS: Detailed mapping of 4 prospects and 4 strong leads has led to better understanding of their structure and stratigraphy. Two prospects, Borda (in EPP 25) and Greenly (in EPP 26), are now mature enough for drilling to meet permit Year 4 work commitments. 2 new leads (Couedic and North Cape) were confirmed, in addition to the 4 delineated previously.
