PEL 46 was cancelled on 6/4/92 following receipt of a geological evaluation and review of petroleum potential in the region, but no subsequent action on the seismic reprocessing portion of the Year One work commitment for the licence. The withdrawal of most parties from the joint venture during the year left those remaining with an unacceptable funding obligation both for this work and the new seismic acquisition required in Year Two.
