PEL 67 covering approximately 6922 square km of the Eringa Trough region in the far north of South Australia, adjoining the Northern Territory border 200 km north-east of Marla, was cancelled on 22/12/97 for failure to meet licence commitments, and for failure to supply the Minister with a satisfactory bond. The US-based licensee had proposed to spend A$5.3 million over five years on seismic acquisition and the drilling of 5 wells.
