PEL 73 covering 625 km2 was awarded to David M Schuette on 27/6/2000 and was surrendered 22/3/2011. During the time of tenure a prospectus was prepared in an attempt to attract farm-in partners. Also completed was an interpretation of airborne geophysical data collected by World Geoscience for the previous tenement holder, Wagner and Brown in 1994. It was hoped that high frequency signatures observed in the data would be indicative of secondary magnetic minerals formed by either chemical or bacterial processes during hydrocarbon seepage. One prospect was interpreted by BF Production of Austin, Texas. Gravestock 1 was drilled during 2007 but was plugged and abandoned after reaching 1096m in Proterozoic basement rocks. A hydrocarbon micro-seepage survey was conducted during 2008 over the licence area combined with an EM Survey and a vehicle borne radar scanning survey. The results of this survey are reported separately but are rated as inconclusive.
