PEL00136 covering 3371km2 and located on the northern margin of the Otway Basin was granted to Beach Petroleum on 8th November 2001. A comprehensive Stress Study was completed over both PEL 135 and 136 licence areas by Predrill Stresses International. The Goose Swamp High Resolution Gravity Survey was conducted over an area north of Penley 1 and Killanoola 1 drill holes which was high graded during the year 1 work and stress study analysis. This survey resulted in 1297 new gravity stations. A lack of shows in the adjacent Cowrie 1 well saw the licence subsequently surrendered at the end of the second permit year (31st December 2003
