EPP 28 covering 255 graticular blocks (approx. 16126km2) over the Ceduna Sub Basin of the Great Australian Bight area was granted to a consortium of Woodside Energy (40%), Anadarko Australia (30%) and PanCanadian Petroleum Ltd (30%) on 12/7/2000....

EPP 28 covering 255 graticular blocks (approx. 16126km2) over the Ceduna Sub Basin of the Great Australian Bight area was granted to a consortium of Woodside Energy (40%), Anadarko Australia (30%) and PanCanadian Petroleum Ltd (30%) on 12/7/2000. During their 6 years of tenure Woodside as operator for the licence completed the Flinders Deepwater Seismic Survey (4952km 2D in EPP 28) of 15636kms survey total. This survey was also conducted over the neighbouring EPP 29 and 30 licence areas. This survey was then reprocessed in part (1135km) in 2006 with the aim of improving overall data quality over the original data particularly in areas affected by volcanic intrusions. No significant improvement was realised. An Oil Slick Study was also commissioned using 5 new RadarSat images over EPP 28, 29 and 30. No slicks that could be reasonably related to natural seepage were interpreted on the new imagery. The licence finally was surrendered on 12/11/2007.
