Beach Petroleum Ltd licence holders of PEL 92 contracted Terrex Seismic Services to record the Ficus 2D Seismic survey, approximately 45 kms west of Moomba. This survey was done in conjunction with GAOG, licence holders of PEL 106 and 107. Due to heavy rain in the area the survey was completed over an extended period of May- June 2007. Overall supervision of the survey was conducted by Santos Ltd. 10 new lines covering a total of 56kms was recorded plus a further 29 lines covering 278 km was reprocessed with the current survey. The prime objective of the survey was to enhance the structural integrity of 3 separate stand alone prospects on the flanks of the Patchawarra Trough. Acquisition parameters were generally Group Interval of 37.5 meters and a VP Interval of 37.5 meters for maximum CDP coverage of 62.5 fold stack. A total of 44 new upholes were recorded in conjunction with the current survey. Data processing was split between Velseis Processing in Brisbane for the Beach Ltd component and Fugro Seismic Imaging Pty Ltd in Perth for the GAOG component.
