Santos Ltd contracted Terrex Seismic Pty Ltd to record the 2007 Bookabourdie 3D Seismic Survey during July 2007. This survey was designed to target further development and appraisal opportunities within the existing field. Secondary to this objective was the opportunity to compare the results of 2 trial acquisition programs conducted over the same survey area. The location of the survey area was in PPL’s 33, 42, 43, 98 and 166 some 70kms NW of Moomba. Total surface covered by this survey was 531kms2. Source and receiver lines were spaced 320 metres apart. Acquisition parameters were Group Interval of 40 meters and a VP Interval of 80m. All data was processed by WesternGeco in their Adelaide Offices. The first trial was conducted by WesternGeco employing their Q Land system of acquisition over approx 11 km2 of the original survey area. The trial was completed during August 2007 and all data remains the property of WesternGeco. VP interval and geophone interval was 6.67m giving an effective 85 fold stack. Source and receiver lines were spaced at the original 320 m. The second trial was conducted by Terrex seismic who conducted High Resolution survey over the same 11km2 that Western Geco recorded. The same data confidentiality applies. This trial was recorded during Sept-Oct 2007 using the same 320m source and receiver line spacing but with a VP and Geophone interval of 10m
