Santos Ltd contracted Terrex Seismic Pty Ltd to record the 2008 Charo 3D Seismic Survey during August 2008. The survey was designed to provide high quality 3D seismic data over the Charo field, allowing improved certainty of structural and Jurassic stratigraphy. The location of the survey was in Santos held PPL 177 but also covered portions of PEL 111 held by Victoria Petroleum. The survey area was some 45 kms NW of the Tirrawarra facility. Total surface covered by this survey was 46.5kms2. Source and receiver lines were spaced 280 metres apart. Acquisition parameters were Group Interval of 35 meters and a VP Interval of 35m for maximum CDP coverage of 35 fold stack. No upholes were recorded. All data was processed by WesternGeco in Adelaide.
