Santos Ltd contracted Terrex Seismic Pty Ltd to record the 2009 Tallerangie 3D Seismic Survey during September-October 2009. The purpose of the survey was to image the Tallerangie structure, to improve fault definition, identify areas for optimal development. A modern 3D data volume would then allow for detailed AVO and attribute studies of the Toolachee, Epsilon, Patchawarra and Tirrawarra formations. The location of the survey was in Santos held PPL 122 but also covered portions of PPL 146 and 147 plus PEL 1054 held by Adelaide Energy. The survey area was some 45 kms NE of Innamincka and 65 km due north of Moomba facility. Total surface covered by this survey was 48kms2. Source and receiver lines were spaced 400 metres apart. Acquisition parameters were Group Interval of 50 meters and a VP Interval of 50m for maximum CDP coverage of 100 fold stack. Some shot hole work was required in low lying areas such as the Eulcaminga Swamp. No upholes were recorded. All data was processed by CGG in Perth.
