Beach Petroleum Ltd licence holders of PEL 218 contracted Terrex Seismic Services to record the 2012 Regius 2D Seismic survey, approximately 70 km north-east of Moomba during January – February 2012. The primary objective of the survey and reprocessing program was to enhance the regional framework over this part of the Nappamerri Trough, an area of significant thickness of hydrocarbon source rocks and target depths greater than 3000m. The current survey comprised 12 lines of new data over 290.96km and also included 16 lines of reprocessing for a total of 378.4km. Acquisition parameters were generally Group Interval of 37.5 meters and a VP Interval of 37.5 meters for maximum CDP coverage of 82 fold stack. 2 lines from the Queensland Gallus 2D Survey are also reported on here. Data processing was completed by Fugro Seismic Imaging Pty Ltd in Perth.
