SENEX Energy Ltd contracted Terrex Seismic Pty Ltd to record the 2012 Lignum 3D Seismic Survey during November 2012–January 2013. The purpose of the survey was designed to provide new and mature existing leads to a drillable status in this part of the Cooper Basin. Objectives for this survey included the channel sands of the Birkhead Formation, Tinchoo Fm prospects and deep unconventional Patchawarra and Epsilon Formation prospects. Reshooting over parts of the previously recorded 2009 Mollichutta 3D Seismic Survey area was deemed necessary due to some poor data areas. Seismic ties was created with the previously recorded 2008 Callabonna 3D and Charo 3D Seismic Surveys, although neither were reprocessed with the current survey. The location of the survey was approximately 90kms north west of Moomba in PEL 104 and 111. Total surface covered by this survey over the western flank of the Patchawarra Trough was 317km2. Source lines were spaced 250 metres apart while Receiver Lines were spaced at 300 m intervals. Acquisition parameters were Group Interval of 50 meters and a VP Interval of 50m for maximum CDP coverage of 96 fold stack. No upholes were recorded. All data was processed by CGG in Perth, WA.
