Beach Energy Ltd contracted Terrex Seismic Pty Ltd to record the 2013 Caseolus Seismic Survey during February – June 2013. The primary objective of the survey and reprocessing program was to enhance the regional framework over this area of the basin and to mature existing leads to prospect status. At a more prospect based level was the desire to locate isolated sand bodies and channel sands with the Numur-Hutton sandstone. The location of the survey was within PEL’s 91and 92 approximately 80-100 kms North-West of Moomba. Total surface covered by this survey was 587kms2. However with the merging of parts of the 2006 Neritus 3D, 2008 Modiolus 3D, 2011 Aquillus 3D and 2012 Irus 3D Seismic Surveys the final processed volume was 892 km2. Source and receiver lines were spaced 280 metres apart. Acquisition parameters were Group Interval of 40 metres and a VP Interval of 40 metres for maximum CDP coverage of 64 fold stack. No upholes were recorded. All data was processed by Geokinetics in their Houston offices, USA.
