The Moomba North Micro-seismic Survey was a surface monitoring array comprising a star shaped array of 10 lines with station spacing of 30m arranged radially around the Moomba 200 well. In all there were 967 recording stations This array was so designed to monitor micro-seismic events triggered by fracture stimulation activities in 4 wells from the Moomba North Multi- well Pad. It was anticipated that results would assist in the understanding of fracture geometry around these wells and also to confirm that the surface monitoring technique is a viable cost effective approach to monitor and assess micro-seismic events. Up to 30 separate stimulation stages would be conducted in the 4 wells (Moomba 198, 199, 200 and 201) targeting the Toolachee, Daralingie, Epsilon, Patchawarra and Tirrawarra Formations. Micro Seismic Inc of Houston processed the data.
