Previous borehole information was correlated to determine the extent of the onshore Polda Basin, previously determined by the -20 mGal contour on the regional Bouguer gravity maps. The study was in 2 parts - 1) field trip to check surface correlations, and 2) review and analysis of all previous mineral exploration in the onshore portion of the basin and hydrocarbon exploration in the offshore portion. The potential for hydrocarbons lies at depth within Cambrian or older strata, which are restricted to a relatively small area onshore in the eastern portion of the permit, known has the Kilaroo Sub- basin. Geochemical analysis should be performed on 2 of 3 bores with recorded oil shows.
