55 groundwater samples obtained from water bores were analysed for dissolved uranium content, with 8 ppb U being the highest assay. Gamma ray and scintillometer logging probes were run down 6 water bores but did not locate anomalous radioactivity. Only 1 of 12 kaolin samples taken was deemed worthy of further laboratory testing to check its suitability for use as a paper grade coating or as filler clay.
