26 core samples from the depth interval 1000-10,035 feet were analysed by pyrolysis and the results presented in standard tables, figures and graphs. TOC values ranged from 0.03 to 3.4% but values of potential yield were invariably poor, never exceeding 1kg hydrocarbons/tonne of rock. As assessed by hydrogen index, the source quality is similarly poor (worse than Type III kerogen), and the kerogen is probably mainly inertinite.
