This gravity survey portion laid out 2870 stations on the Lake Frome Plains, east and north-east of Reaphook Hill, to confirm and determine the extent of a postulated deep structural trough lying adjacent to the eastern flank of the northern Flinders Ranges, and to detect the presence of possible structural hydrocarbon traps. 34 anomalies were identified in the area, and their characteristics are presented on Bouguer gravity, magnetics (vertical intensity) and geological summary maps. Further work over some anomalies, including seismic definition, is recommended.
