Gidgealpa No.24, located within PPL6, reached a total depth of 2065.9m on 27/02/85. It was designed to provide a crestal and northern drainage point for the Namur/Hutton. The well encountered 6ft of Basal Birkhead pay not prognosed, discovered a new small lower Namur poolm and was deepened to appraise the northern extent of the Basal Hutton gas accumulation. The well also encountered 17ft. of good quality pay in the Mid-Namur and 27ft of good quality pay in the Hutton, and was completed as a dual oil producer from these formations. Test reports include 2 drill stem tests, a PVT study, core analysis, wireline logging, production tests, Hutton reservoir extended testing, wellhead data, BHP Flow/Buildup data, Flowing/Static gradient and bottom hole sampling.
