AIM: Two small seismic grids comprising 2 groups each of 6 close-spaced lines, totalling 81.76 line kms, were shot within the Renmark Trough to detail 2 previously identified leads interpreted along line OC85-22. METHODS: Survey dates: 23-30 January 1986. Energy source: Geoflex (Redcord). CDP coverage: 1200%. Recording mode: 96 channel digital - Sercel SN 338 HR recorder. SP interval: 140.0 m; group interval: 35.0 m. RESULTS: This survey was unsuccessful in proving the structural validity of the target leads, both of which exhibit only marginal proven closure (5 milliseconds TWT). The eastern lead shows slightly more vertical relief developed in association with a Permian horst block (possibly up to 20 milliseconds TWT), and may have potential for further seismic detailing. No exploratory drilling is recommended based on these survey results, but additional regional and detailed seismic prospecting nearer the Renmark Trough depocentre is warranted.
