An area of sand-covered, Archaean and Proterozoic crystalline basement igneous and metamorphic rocks, extending from south of Kingoonya north-westwards to Tarcoola, was investigated for its potential to host deposits of precious and base metals. Regional and detailed geological mapping, rock geochemical sampling and ground magnetometry were carried out, principally in the north-eastern part of the licence near Kenella Rocks. Further work, including EM surveys and drilling, was recommended for the various prospects disclosed by the mapping and by anomalous geochemistry and geophysics.
