Exploration near Carrieton for possible economic stratiform copper deposits hosted by metasediments at the base of the Adelaidean System, as the culmination to a 9-year long programme carried over from Utah's former EL 137 and six prior tenements existing over the same area, has concentrated on appraisal percussion pre-collar and diamond core drilling of geochemical targets at the Copper Claim and Copper Claim North prospects (in 10 holes totalling 934 m of non-core and 1989.55 m of core drilling). Visible copper mineralisation was logged in cores from four of the latest drillholes, and was correlated with several prospective lithological horizons that the company has mapped locally within the informally named Neoproterozoic Eurelia Beds, but it was finally decided that none of the mineralisation was of ore grade, or had sufficient continuity, to represent a viable occurrence warranting further work.
