An area of numerous old copper workings located approximately 20 miles east of Lyndhurst was explored for possible economic nickel, copper, lead or zinc mineralisation, by conducting reconnaissance stream sediment sampling (155 samples) and IP surveying, plus geological appraisals of the past workings and their surroundings. This led to the pegging of 50 mineral claims over areas thought to have some potential for buried sulphide mineralisation.
