After acquiring an option over Rieck's and other parties' current mineral claims on the Ooloo workings, the surrounding SML 610 operator Petromin searched for possible along-strike extensions to the known lead-zinc-silver mineralisation occurring in Adelaidean Wilpena Group sediments. 9 shallow percussion drillholes (average depth 115 feet) were put down on soil geochemical targets, and most intersected low grade extensions to the previously mined lode channels, but no economic concentrations of base metal ore (galena, sphalerite, covellite) were identified. PDH Ooloo 5 had the best assay results, 1.75% Pb and 6 ppm Ag @ 85-90 feet depth. A ground magnetic survey was not successful in locating any significant hidden orebody anomalism.
