An extensive gossanous horizon located 60 metres stratigraphically above the Day, Meehan and Crawford lenses of the Dome Rock copper occurrences was tested by diamond drill hole DR 4 to 272.6 m. Substantial quantities of massive sulphides were intersected but copper and gold contents decreased in the zone of primary sulphides indicating that a copperbelt type change to a more copper rich facies is unlikely to occur.
