This project was undertaken to ascertain whether it is likely that the potash feldspar present in certain brecciated Mount Painter rocks was derived by low temperature, low pressure epitaxial growth (authigenesis) of K-feldspar on pre-existing crystals. Three samples were analysed using mainly electron microprobe methods.
