The target of exploration carried out approximately 60 km north-east of Burra was diamonds, with base metals and coal as secondary interests. Aeromagnetic and radiometric surveys identified several anomalies which were interpreted as possibly due to kimberlites. Ground magnetic follow-up traversing defined targets which were tested by rotary drilling, with bottom hole cores taken in two holes. Seventeen holes totalling 768 m were completed at seven anomalies, but no kimberlite intrusions were found. Bottom of hole samples, and occasional up-hole samples, were analysed for Cu, Pb, Zn, Ni and Nb. No significant geochemical results were recorded, and the licence area was surrendered.
