Under the Hydrogen and Renewable Energy Act 2023 the Minister may declare an area of land suitable for the operation of renewable energy infrastructure. Applications for renewable energy feasibility licences over these released areas must meet prescribed criteria. This document provides guidance regarding relevant matters that may be considered by the Minister in assessing an application against the prescribed criteria, and the type of information or evidence that applicants can provide to demonstrate how they will meet the prescribed criteria.
