Unprospective, contrasting surficial cover and granitic bedrock gamma ray sources for 6 weak radiometric anomalies were located during ground reconnaissance of an area north of Lake Everard. Lateritic ironstones, thought to be developed above granite at one locality, exhibit supergene enrichment in thorium and/or uranium within goethite pisolites, but this radioactive occurrence has no economic significance. The scope for finding sedimentary uranium deposits in the licence area is regarded as slight, with no evidence of the presence of major palaeodrainage channels. Accordingly, tenure over EL 575 has been surrendered.
