Exhaustive beneficiation and quality testing of bulk samples of talc taken from the Truro prospect, which lies 1 mile north of Truro township, followed by widespread canvassing of potential customers both locally and abroad, failed to find buyers for the envisaged talc product, which it seems cannot readily be refined to exceed third grade composition. A technical consultant's mining feasibility study and production cost forecast was also completed and submitted. The lease operator's prior sampling of the talc lenses comprised geological mapping, trenching and channel sampling, and the drilling of 115 rotary holes totalling 11,239 feet to try to better define the resource.
