In a search for possible concealed kimberlitic, carbonatitic or Cu-U-bearing igneous breccia intrusions within the Adelaidean fold belt succession, across a narrow north-south trending area west of Peterborough, 6 structurally disrupted localities selected from photogeological and remote sensing studies were examined using geochemical and geophysical methods. Some probable attenuated, kimberlite-related geochemistry was found, but when its tenor was compared with an overall very poor magnetic response and quite minimal radiometric result, the conclusion was made that there was little likelihood of finding prospective intrusions near to the surface.
