Four photo-interpreted possible buried kimberlite structural targets that were indicated in the Algebuckina area were investigated by a field programme of drainage and soil geochemical sampling (39 samples) and scintillometric surveying. Three areas with anomalous geochemistry were gridded and subjected to ground magnetic traversing and detailed loam sampling (516 samples). Only spotty, low order geochemical anomalism was seen, which correlated poorly with the magnetic response, and thus the majority of the noted anomalies are thought to be due to buried basic intrusive rocks.
