An open hole rotary mud drilling programme of 42 holes for 4939 m was used to evaluate the licence area for economic Tertiary fluvial sandstone - type uranium mineralisation, after previous and current explorers had identified buried uraniferous Miocene palaeochannel sediments in their adjoining tenements (SML 555, EL 63 and EL 438). Only minor thin anomalous zones were located by the latest drilling.
