Diamond exploration over an area located approximately 35 km south-east of Yunta was undertaken to assess an interpreted structural environment that may be similar to one existing nearby to the west close to Terowie, in which shallowly buried, diamondiferous Mesozoic kimberlite diatremes are known to occur. Following completion of a prospectivity review, stream sediment and soil geochemical sampling was carried out (170 samples, or about 1 sample per square km) to look for kimberlite indicators. No firm such indicator minerals or intra-regolith geochemical pointers were found, but two possibly ultrabasic intrusive - sourced base metal anomalies were identified, and a previously unreported occurrence of vein style stratabound/epithermal copper sulphide mineralisation was discovered on the south-eastern edge of the Woolshed Range, 2.5 km to the north of Manunda Homestead. Redirected company priorities caused the abandonment of planned further work.
