TARGET: Uranium at the postulated intersection of a north-south trending fault with sandy lenses of the upper Namba Formation. EXPLORATION: 4 aircore holes drilled into the shallow Tertiary sedimentary succession, as far as a basal Namba dolomitic marker horizon, for a total of 504 m. RESULTS: All four holes intersected a similar Upper Tertiary sequence of uniformly reduced clays, fine sandy clays, and fine sands with minor coarser sand interbeds. No downhole gamma log anomalies were recorded. The drilling showed that no major faults or other structures occur at Upper Tertiary level across the east-west width of the tenement area.
