Tapley Hill Formation - hosted, Zambian Copperbelt style stratabound copper was targeted in an exploration programme which consisted of ground magnetic surveying and stratigraphic percussion drilling and geophysical logging (10 holes for 2058 m total penetration). The area's base metal potential is considered high, although only minor mineralisation has so far been encountered within the target interval. A few of the drillholes penetrated to the Gawler Range Volcanics, which unconformably underlie the Pandurra Formation at depths of 300 m or more, with a highly weathered upper surface which dips gently to the north-east. The south-western portion of the licence ground, which includes most of Lake MacFarlane, has been relinquished. It contains no significant magnetic or gravity anomalies, and there are no lithologically favourable units in the base of the Pandurra Formation that would also be prospective for stratabound copper.
