Base metal exploration over an area situated south of the Barrier Highway, 25 km south-west of Cockburn, consisted of geological mapping, the searching out and sampling of gossans, ground magnetic surveying, and the drilling of 84 percussion holes (total 5846 m) at a number of geochemical prospects identified by previous SADM and company work. Non-economic primary and secondary copper, lead and zinc mineralization of stratiform nature was intersected in several holes.
