Preliminary investigations of the prospect resulted in the recommendation, in a report dated 30th July, 1953, that a single inclined borehole be sunk to intersect the mineralised zone at 220-300 feet borehole depth. Lack of information about the extent of the old workings made it advisable to so locate the hole as to cut the ore zone 300 feet east of the main shaft. This drilling has been completed, and a geological log of the diamond drill core is attached.
