Uranium mineralization was found by Mines Department prospector H.E. Campana approximately 2½ miles east of Mt. Victoria in the Crocker Well area. The mineralization occurs as davidite in quartz and pegmatite; and coarse crystals of the mineral weather out to cover large areas with davidite shed. Although mineralization was found at several locations, this report is confined to an area about 300 feet long where it is most intense. Three days were spent in the area during April 7-9 making a geologic map and appraising the deposit as a source of uranium.
