A minor outcropping occurrence of blue-grey ?tremolite asbestos found in a fault crush zone located near the head of Mount Lyndhurst Creek was visited to assess its economic viability. Because of the largely narrow and unpredictable development of the asbestos-bearing quartz veins, resulting in short and broken asbestos mineral fibres, and a likely low tonnage of useable material, it was concluded that the occurrence held little promise of being economic.
