An Inspection was made of this quarry in response to a request from the Commissioner of Highways. A plane-table survey was carried out in November 1954 by C.J.R. Kingsbury, datum for the levelling being taken at the creek-bed below the collapsed bridge. Boundaries of the reserve and sections could not be located, the only recognisable boundary being a line of old fence posts along the main road.
